The Government of Italy has called for applications for grants from Omani students who intend to study or pursue research and training programmes in Italian universities for a period of study of six or nine months.
The scholarships also give candidates the opportunity to apply for three-month Italian language courses in Italy.
The initiative comes within the framework of the ever-growing cultural and academic cooperation between Italy and the sultanate, aiming to foster international cooperation in scientific and technological fields and promote Italian language and culture.
For the academic year 2021-2022, Oman has been included in the list of beneficiary countries with scholarships for Omani students for a total of 18 months. Grantees will receive a monthly allowance of €900. Deadline for applications is July 13.
Details of the application procedure are available online at https://studyinitaly.esteri.it, which also includes other useful information on Italy’s educational system and life for students.
