H E Dr Khalfan bin Saeed al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, concluded his visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Saturday.

During the visit, H E Shuaili met with a number of ministers and senior officials. In both the countries he toured several projects related to housing and urban planning and was briefed on the Saudi experience in residential suburbs and the Qatari experience in urban and development projects.

Officials and specialists in the two countries praised the sultanate’s experience in housing and urban planning, and the successes it has achieved in housing projects, organisational programmes, and city planning, among others. They stressed that such meetings contribute to the exchange of expertise and experiences in order to achieve the directions of the leaders of the countries and meet the aspirations of their peoples. 

The visit also came to reflect a mutual interest in learning about the various experiences of the GCC countries in the sectors of housing, real estate development and urban planning.
