Guests in three to five-star hotels in Oman rose by 7.5 per cent in May this year, according to the statistics shared by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to the NCSI, the number of guests occupying three to five -star hotels last month was 439,182; 7.5 per cent higher occupancy compared to the same period in 2020.
The maximum number of guests in this category of hotels were Omanis (303,383), followed by the Asians (68,388) and Europeans (19,009).
Arab guests from outside the Gulf countries were 18,468; 7,818 from America, 5,772 from the GCC, 2,537 from Oceania, 1,652 from Africa and 12,155 guests of other nationalities.
