The sultanate, represented by the Foreign Ministry, participated in the 148th session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council held on Wednesday in the Saudi capital Riyadh. Oman’s delegation was headed by H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
The council examined a number of reports following up on the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council issued by the Summit of Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah held in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, in January 2021 and reviewed the reports submitted by the ministerial and technical committees and the General Secretariat Cooperation Council.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments in relations between the GCC countries and the world at large, in addition to exchanging views on the latest regional and international developments.
