The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Wednesday reported 2,142 new cases of COVID-19 and 26 related deaths. With this, the total number of cases in Oman has reached 240,708, including 2,591 deaths.

In a clear indication of rising infections, recovery rate has been decreasing and as of Wednesday, it was 88.4 per cent. ‘On Wednesday, 744 individuals recovered taking the total number of recoveries to 212,808,’ an MoH statement said.

Eighty-seven people were admitted to hospitals on Wednesday, accounting for a total of 1,282 inpatients, including 383 in ICUs.
