The Supreme Committee has extended its decision prohibiting entry to travellers arriving from Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania and the United Kingdom.
The committee also added Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to the list. The ban is applicable to all passengers arriving from any other country if they travelled through any of the above-mentioned countries within a period of 14 days of applying to enter the sultanate. The decision comes into effect from 2pm, June 5, 2021, till further notice.
The committee has advised Omani citizens not to visit the countries in the travel ban.
With the new list, the travel ban on Ghana, Guinea, Lebanon and South Africa has come to an end.
