The Ministry of Health (MoH) signed a funding agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Gulf Energy Company for the construction of a new oxygen tank of 10,000lt capacity for Sultan Qaboos Hospital (SQH) Salalah on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed by H E Dr Fatma bint Mohammed al Ajmi, MoH’s Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial and Planning Affairs, Abul-Amir Abdul-Hussein al Ajmi, PDO’s external affairs and value creation director, and Yasser al Baraami, CEO of Mubbadarah on behalf of Gulf Energy Company.
At the signing ceremony, H E Dr Fatma stressed the importance of partnerships between government and private sectors in the sultanate in the interest of the public, and praised the initiative of the two companies that will contribute to enhancing health services.
“We are delighted to sign this joint agreement to fund several projects of MoH in SQH Salalah,” Ajmi said. “PDO would like to thank Gulf Energy Company for its contribution to such health projects.”
Baraami stressed that Gulf Energy’s contribution is part of its social responsibility.
