As part of its efforts to develop nature reserves in the sultanate, the Environment Authority (EA), in cooperation with Oman LNG, signed a cooperation programme on Wednesday.
It aims to finance a project to provide surveillance cameras (CCTV) and documentation devices for nature reserves.
The agreement was signed by Eng Suleiman bin Nasser al Akhzmi, director general of Nature Conservation of Environment Authority, and Eng Ismail bin Sulaiman al Sawafi, director general of Social Responsibility and Public Relations from Oman LNG.
The Environment Authority said it is seeking to conduct scientific studies and provide tourism and entertainment facilities for guests inside nature reserves. There are over 20 nature reserves through which the authority aims to preserve and promote the sultanate in the world of ecotourism.
