The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday signed an agreement with Sheikha Amina Saud Salim Bahwan al Mukhaini, member of Al Jisr Foundation board, for over half-a-million-rial expansion of the Jalaan Bani Bu Hassan Hospital in South Sharqiyah governorate.
The expansion of the Accidents & Emergency department and Out-Patients Clinics of the hospital will be done at a total cost of RO500,929, said a statement.
H E Dr Fatima Mohammed al Ajmi – Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial and Planning Affairs – who signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry, emphasised the significance of partnership between the public and other sectors to serve the people in a better way.
She applauded the noble initiatives of Sheikha Amina in serving the health ministry’s various projects. The strategic planning for the management, orientation, provision of health services and the partnership aiming at boosting Omani community across the sultanate have prompted the signing of the agreement, H E Dr Fatima added.
As part of her social responsibility, Sheikha Amina reasserted her commitment to partnerships and cooperations with various government institutions, including the health services, to serve the country.
The signing of the agreement promotes community services and developmental projects aimed at ensuring the welfare of the citizens.
