The chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has praised the automatic licence service launched by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Innovation Promotion.
Eng Redha bin Jumah al Saleh, chairman of the Board of Directors of OCCI, said that this initiative comes within the efforts aimed at achieving Oman Vision 2040, by contributing to creating a business environment that promotes economic growth and encourages the establishment of commercial projects and investment partnerships.
“The services provided by the Invest Easy platform will raise the sultanate’s international indicators in the fields of trade and investment, especially as it allows the investor to obtain an automatic licence for more than 1,500 economic activities, which constitute 88 per cent of the economic activities conducted in the sultanate,” said Eng Saleh.
He added that the private sector praises such initiatives that expand the national economy and stressed that improving the business environment comes at the forefront of the goals that must be achieved in order to reach sustainable economic development.
