The Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with COVID-19 on Monday decided to lift the movement ban during night from Thursday, April 8. However, commercial activities will remain suspended.
From start of Ramadan, the night-time movement ban and suspension of commercial activities will begin again with changed timings – from 9pm to 4am.
The Supreme Committee also decided that Taraweeh prayers won’t be held at mosques during Ramadan and gatherings of all kinds including mass iftars won’t be allowed during the Holy Month.
Social, sports and cultural activities will be suspended during Ramadan.
A restriction on entry of only citizens and residents into Oman has also been applied from 12 noon, April 8.
