The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources on Tuesday signed an agreement with Oman India Fertiliser Company (Omifco) to finance four mobile veterinary clinics and procurement of vet equipment in South Sharqiyah.
This comes within the efforts of the ministry to support livestock growth as well to increase and maintain their production capacity and health.
The agreement includes providing treatment and services to livestock breeders in the wilayats of Al Kamil W’Al Wafi, Jalaan Bani Bu Hassan and Jalaan Bani Bu Ali in South Sharqiyah.
The agreement was signed by H E Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Said Talib Said al Maawali, board member of Omifco.
Ali bin Salem al Hashimi, director of Agricultural Development in the wilayat of Al Kamil W’Al Wafi, said, “These mobile clinics will contribute to the delivery of advisory services to livestock breeders in various villages, and enhance the income level of breeders.”
He added, “The agreement includes providing veterinary equipment and computers for mobile veterinary clinics.”
