Businesses across the sultanate have voted HSBC the best bank in Oman for domestic trade finance services in the 2021 Euromoney trade finance survey.
As the pandemic swept across the world in 2020, HSBC worked closely with clients and responded quickly to minimise disruption to their supply chains by equipping them with the tools to use HSBC’s digital channels and maintain the flow of essential goods around the world. At the present, around 81 per cent of HSBC’s trade transactions in Oman are completed digitally.
“Being recognised by our clients for having the Best Trade Finance Services in Oman demonstrates our strong position and our ability to connect Omani businesses to trading partners around the globe. We continue to invest in the digitalisation of our products and services to make banking simpler, better and faster for our customers,” Melika Betley, CEO of HSBC Bank Oman, said in a press release.
HSBC was also voted the #1 bank in the Euromoney survey for domestic trade finance in Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
“Our investment in digital solutions and close collaboration with clients meant we were able to deliver faster and more secure trade solutions,” said Sunil Veetil, head of global trade and receivables finance for HSBC in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
