MoH undersecretary visits Al Wusta health institutions

Within the field visits conducted by Ministry of Health (MoH) officials, its Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs H E Dr Fatima Mohammed al Ajmi recently visited a number of health institutions in Al Wusta governorate to follow up on the work progress.

H E Dr Fatima visited the Haima Hospital and Duqm Hospital, in addition to the Community Clinic in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm and the clinic of the customs department at the Port of Duqm. She met the administration and the workers of the health institutions and received their opinions on how to improve the quality of the services. She urged them to make every effort to provide the necessary health services.

H E Dr Fatima also presided over an administrative meeting held at the Haima Hospital with the presence of governorate’s health services directors general, directors and administrative supervisors. The meeting reviewed a number of topics related to the  healthcare system in the governorate including plans, indicators and achievements. It further discussed the obstacles and challenges in the implementation and development of workflow in the governorate.

She also met H E Sheikh Ma’adhad al Yaqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta, and discussed enhancement of services. 

The MoH undersecretary was accompanied by Dr Ibrahim al Mahrooqi, director general of Health Services – Al Wusta governorate, and a number of senior officials.

The ministry conducts regular similar visits with the purpose of reviewing the progress of work in the three healthcare levels of the health institutions (primary, secondary and tertiary), identifying their needs and requirements, and studying the development of the healthcare system infrastructure.
