Muscat Municipality has decided to reopen Mawaleh Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables for retail customers from January 5.
The municipality said the decision was taken as per the municipality procedures and health regulations decided by the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with COVID-19.
The municipality said the market will be open from 1pm to 6pm for consumers, and from 5am to 11am for wholesalers.
‘The number of people allowed to enter the market in one vehicle will not exceed two. Children below 12 are not allowed.’
The municipality urged all market-goers to be cautious by practising and encouraging social distancing, wearing face masks, and using disinfectants when visiting the market.
