Ara Petroleum supports MoE’s digital studio

In line with its strategy to support the development of the local communities it operates in, Ara Petroleum Oman Block 44 has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education (MoE) to sponsor a digital studio in Buraimi governorate.

As per a statement, Ara Petroleum Oman Block 44 is primarily a natural gas and condensate development in Oman wholly owned by Ara Petroleum. The company is committed to implement CSR strategies that are in line with in-country value. Being in the oil and gas business, the entity drives an earnest endeavour to extend tangible support to society. 

The ‘Ara Digital Studio’ to be constructed in Buraimi governorate will serve the educational sector by producing digital material.

The MoU signing ceremony was held under the aegis of H E Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Education. Moosa al Moosawi, DGM of Ara Petroleum Oman Block 44, and Dr Fathiya Alsaddi, director general of the Directorate General of the Ministry of Education in Buraimi governorate signed the agreement.

A spokesperson for Ara Petroleum said, “Community engagement is one of the key pillars of corporate social responsibility. With the objective of contributing to the community where we are based in, we are taking on social activities such as the digital studio with emphasis on assisting the community’s educational activities. Therefore, our commitment to being a responsible company and making a positive contribution to society is instilled in the way we conduct business.” 

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Education said, “The digital studio will help the education sector in Buraimi enhance the general and digital learning experience. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Ara Petroleum for creating a positive change in the society.”
