As part of its efforts to support farmers and improve agricultural crop production, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources distributed a number of power tillers to the farmers in the wilayats of South Sharqiyah.
Ali bin Salem al Hashemi, director of Agricultural Development in Al Kamil W’Al Wafi, said that the project targets 57 farmers from the wilayats of Al Kamil W’Al Wafi, Jalaan Bani Bu Hassan, and Jalaan Bani Bu Ali, and aims to support farmers and the agricultural sector. The machines can be easily moved from one place to another and saves time and effort for farmers.
He added, “The ministry will implement a training programme for farmers in using these machines and to ensure these work for a long time.”
