Strict action, including a fine and jail term, will be sentenced by authorities on those who don’t return missing items or property. The measure is being initiated by the Public Prosecution keeping in mind the rights of civilians.

‘Whoever finds a missing property and refuses to return the same to the rightful owner will be imprisonment for a period not extending one year and/or a fine up to RO300,’ the Public Prosecution said in a statement.

This measure was introduced following multiple complains from civilians. The Public Prosecution stands for the rights of the people and always works to stop any sort of injustice and inconvenience to civilians.
