Assigned by His Majesty the Sultan, Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham bin Tarik al Said unveiled the first stamp featuring the portrait of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and another with the logo of the 50th National Day of Renaissance on Thursday.
The two commemorative stamps were unveiled at a ceremony organised by Oman Post, a member of the Asyad Group, in collaboration with the National Museum.
Oman Post launched the stamp of His Majesty Sultan Haitham to renew the covenant and loyalty to him and to perpetuate him in the rich history and glory of Omani civilisation.
The second stamp and first day cover marks the occasion of the 50th National Day, featuring portraits of His Majesty Sultan Haitham and the Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may his soul rest in peace. Embellished in gold, the first day cover design includes an image of Al Alam Palace in the backdrop symbolising Oman’s renewed renaissance in the past five decades.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Royal family, undersecretaries, and dignitaries from the private sector.
