H E Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, on Wednesday received in his office Lt Gen Sir John Lorimer, UK’s senior defence advisor to the Middle East.
Lt Gen Sir Lorimer expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the sultanate’s role in enhancing cooperation and achieving joint interests.
The meeting reviewed the historic relations binding the two friendly countries.
The two sides also discussed a number of current regional and international issues, besides touching on several matters of common concern.
Lt Gen Sir Lorimer also met Lt Gen Ahmed bin bin Harith al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the
Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
The two sides exchanged viewpoints and discussed a range of matters of common concern. The meeting was attended by the defence attaché of the UK Embassy in Muscat, Brigadier Hassan bin Ali al Mujaini, head of Moral Guidance at COSAF, andsenior SAF officers.
