In implementation of the Royal Order issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to begin the annual session of the Council of Oman, Majlis A’Shura will start its second annual session of the ninth term (2019-2023) on Sunday, November 15.
Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed al Nadabi, secretary general of the Majlis A’Shura, extended congratulations to His Majesty the Sultan on the occasion of the 50th National Day.
He confirmed that the Majlis A’Shura will continue its legislative and oversight work in accordance with the Basic Law of the State, by integrating with the Executive Authority, to contribute efficiently and competently in carrying out its roles.
He explained that the Majlis A’Shura has completed all preparations for the start of the second annual session in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the internal regulations of the majlis, stressing that the session will be public and open to media. He confirmed that there are four new members who will take oath after the opening of the session and a vice president will also be elected.
