The fourth and final phase of the national serological survey of COVID-19, conducted by the Ministry of Health, commences on Sunday.
The survey has been undertaken to determine the prevalence of infection in the population – Omanis and expatriates – based on age groups, undetected cases and the level of infection in wilayats.
‘The role of the survey has been significant in highlighting the overall prevalence of COVID-19 infection and assessing the prevalence rate in the sultanate’s various governorates as well as the prevalence of asymptomatic cases,’ the ministry stated.
‘As the final phase of the survey approaches, individuals are urged to participate in it in order to complete it and achieve its objectives. The survey aims at serving both the individual and the society as a whole.’
The ministry added that there are no specific criteria to participate.
‘Do not hesitate and participate with us,’ the ministry statement added.
‘If you are approached to participate in the national survey, please complete the process by going to the health institution to which you are directed.’
