The Foreign Ministry has condemned the terror attack in the Austrian capital Vienna on Monday night.

A statement issued by the ministry said, ‘The Foreign Ministry condemns and denounces the sinful terrorist act that took place in the centre of Vienna. 

The sultanate expresses its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims.’

The Embassy of Oman in Vienna also issued a statement, in which it said, ‘The Embassy calls on all Omani students in Vienna to exercise caution, to stay home and away from crowded places. The Embassy urges Omani students to follow the instructions issued by the Austrian authorities and contact them, if needed, on 00436763569820.’
