Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education, hailed the Royal Directive of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to provide school students belonging to Social Security Scheme families with laptops in the new school year (2020-2021).
Dr Madiha said that the Ministry of Education is honoured to receive the Royal Directive which, she affirmed, comes within the context of the attention His Majesty the Sultan accords to the school education sector.
“The Royal Directive reflects His Majesty the Sultan’s keenness to help develop the capabilities of students in technical areas so that they could pursue their online learning amid the current health circus,” said Dr Madiha.
The minister pointed out that the Royal Directive indicates His Majesty the Sultan’s interest in students self-acquiring skills and enabling them to keep pace with the rapid progress in the age of digitally enhanced knowledge and learning conforming to the goals of Oman Vision 2040 in which high quality education is an important pillar.
