Nashat al Riyami, a seasoned professional in the telecommunications field in Oman, had graduated from Shatti Al Qurum Government School with a score of 97% and got awarded scholarship to study in one of the leading universities in UK. Nashat completed a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Manchester (UK), and started her first job as a junior product manager – the first Omani female to work in the product management team in the erstwhile Nawras (now Ooredoo).

Nashat was in charge of SIM and numbering plans and worked closely with the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA). She also worked on payment channels closely with banks in Oman and service providers worldwide as well as the Information Technology Authority (ITA) for the online payment service, to serve postpaid and prepaid customers and enhance their customer experience.
She also worked on Value Added Services (VAS) in association with other organisations, like the donation service in association with Oman Charity Organisation that is active till today and serves many community and charity projects in Oman.

A mother of two, Nashat further pursued a Masters degree with the University of Strathclyde and consequently got promoted to be the first and only female ‘department head in consumer marketing’ responsible for Elite and High Value Segments. She currently is the department head of Roaming Services in Ooredoo Oman, providing services for customers over 600 roaming partners worldwide.
