Dr Maha al Khaduri, who enjoys a second term as assistant dean for Training and Community Services, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, SQU, has been skilled in providing a specialised infertility service with country-wide referrals at SQUH and Fakih Fertility Clinic for Assisted Reproductive Technology, IVF and Pre- implantation Genetic Diagnosis.

“My passion is helping couples to have a child,” says Dr Maha who is the focal consultant for fertility preservation for Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant patients at SQUH. As the first Omani senior consultant in this speciality at SQUH, she has contributed to developing and advancing clinical services, especially in endoscopic surgery and infertility and performs major gynecological surgeries, including advanced minimally invasive surgeries.

Dr Maha, who provides consultancy services as technical expert for promotion, review of other health institutions’ services, and medico-legal cases, has served on 45 different committees and chaired 12, including committees and societies in MoH and OMSB, giving expert inputs on women’s health in Oman.

An eloquent speaker of international recognition in her field, Dr Maha has often been an invited speaker and chaired sessions in local and international conferences. She has been active in research as an academic and also been awarded His Majesty’s grant and an internal grant at SQU.
