The Tender Board on Wednesday held its fifth meeting for 2020 under the chairmanship of H E Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy and chairman of the Tender Board.
The Tender Board awarded a number of projects and additional works that complement development projects in various fields with a total value of RO158.52mn. The board also discussed several topics related to tenders and additional works that complement the development projects.
Among the new projects awarded by the board is the establishment of a corner under the name of late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said at the National Museum at a cost of RO 317,871.
The major allocation in the new awards is for the variation orders and annexes for the implemented road projects at a cost of RO112.78. The board also awarded the additional works of the dual-carriageway project of the Sharqiyah Expressway project (part two of the second phase) at a cost of RO23.09mn.
Other contracts were: Supply of drugs, vaccines and serums for the Ministry of Health at a cost of RO13.61mn; supplying consumable surgical hospital supplies for the Ministry of Health at a cost of RO6.97mn; additional works for the supply and installation of five weather sensors to the Civil Aviation Authority at a cost of RO1.02mn; and insurance for the infrastructure of Duqm Port, and existing berths and bridges in the ports of Khasab and Shinas for the Ministry of Finance at a cost of RO707,383.
