The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday confirmed 439 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the total to 111,033.
The number of deaths reported during the same time was eight. This is the first time the number of new cases are below 500 since September 15 – a good sign thanks to the current night curfew.
The number of those who have recovered has also increased by 549.
‘The number of recoveries has increased to 96,949, while the number of deaths is 1,122,’ an MoH statement said.
As of Tuesday, a total of 501 patients were admitted in health institutions, including 207 in ICUs.
MoH advises all citizens and residents to continue washing hands with water and soap, avoid touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, and follow healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has announced a temporary suspension of work at its department in Buraimi governorate.
In a statement, the ministry said, ‘Services will be temporary suspended at the Urban Planning Department in Buraimi governorate as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The resumption of work at the department will be announced later.”
