To inculcate a sense of national pride and encourage human values such as tolerance and respect among children, the Ministry of Education (MoE) will produce an animation series for students in grades one to four.
The ministry has signed an agreement with Mitsui E&P Middle East BV to finance the production of the animation series titled I Belong to My Homeland.
The agreement was signed by H E Majid bin Saeed bin Sulaiman al Bahri, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in MoE, and Najeeb al Harthi, CEO and GM, Mitsui E&P Middle East BV.
“The series aims to help appreciate the values of citizenship, in taking pride in the historical and cultural heritage of the nation, and preserving its gains, in addition to developing trust and respect for public order,” H E Bahri said of the significance of the agreement through which the series will be made.
“The series also aims to teach the values of tolerance and respect for others, reiterating the lessons taught to students of grades one to four in public and private schools,” he noted.
