She pointed out that the uncertainty that has been brought by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past couple of months has led to a rapid increase in anxiety and stress. Moreover, the severity of infection is increased in those with underlying health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiac and respiratory disorders. 

Relevantly, one of the most significant benefits of regular yoga practice is that it helps build immunity, while positively impacting overall health and releasing anxiety. Especially, during the lockdown, yoga has gained enormous popularity, and many have experienced its numerous benefits to stay active and positive. 
Power Yoga 

This is a high-intensity fitness-based approach involving a dynamic flow of traditional yoga poses. It particularly increases stamina, strength and flexibility while simultaneously focussing on deep breathing with each move. 
Hatha Yoga 

This is based on the fundamentals of traditional yoga and designed to align and calm your mind, body and spirit while gradually gaining flexibility and strength. It is best suited for beginners because of its slower pace and longer holds in each pose. 

A mix of Hatha and Power Yoga is highly beneficial and Shobha has been passionately imparting her knowledge in yoga, Ayurveda and meditation for the past 25 years. Her dedication and compassion have enabled her to physically and mentally heal numerous students while inspiring positivity in their lives through yoga practice.

She further said, “One’s health is a combination of both physical and mental well-being, each affecting the other. At Aasana Yoga, we truly believe in holistic yoga practice and hence, each class is designed to include a warm-up, followed by the yoga practice and finishing with breathing exercises (Pranayama) and relaxing meditation. In addition to yoga, Aasana Yoga also provides guided meditation and Tibetan sound bowl therapy as personal sessions or for small groups. 

Aasana Yoga has been actively offering online classes for all levels and ages throughout the lockdown period and now have additionally opened doors to studio sessions at 50% capacity. All studio sessions are conducted by following strict safety protocols.
