The Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by the Department of Blood Banks Services, has called upon those who recovered from the COVID-19 infection to volunteer to donate blood plasma to help other patients.
Stressing the importance of donating blood plasma, the ministry said one recovered person can contribute to the treatment of three patients.
The plasma is extracted from the blood of donors. They are antibodies to the virus, and they work to support the person’s immune system.
People who recovered from the infection can book an appointment at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher, after fulfilling all the conditions for donating blood.
For inquiries and to book an appointment, contact the Department of Blood Banks Services via WhatsApp number 94555648 or call 24591255.
