You simply can’t lock down the beauty of Ayn Lagga Shalyon

Even as Dhofar continues to be under lockdown, photographer Mohammed Awadh al Hadi ba Omar has been capturing images of the stunning landscape of the governorate and promoting the tourism potential of the region on various social media platforms.

A native of Dhofar, ba Omar has been touring, exploring new spots and photographing the khareef season for some years now.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, ba Omar said, “As a photographer, my goal is not just to take beautiful pictures of the place and gain the admiration of followers. My objective is to show the people the wonderful places in Dhofar.”

On August 21, he photographed a spring called Ayn Lagga Shalyon which is close to the wilayat of Sadah.

“It’s a stunning setting with water falling from the top of the mountain. It’s a difficult road to the top; I climbed about 200m to photograph the area,” ba Omar said.

A member of the Photographic Society of Oman, he has won several local and international awards and participated in many photography exhibitions.

Every year during khareef, there’s a flurry of activity on his Instagram account (@mohd_Alhadi) and Twitter handle (@mohd_Alhadi).
