Embassy of Nepal to build chancery in diplomatic area

The Embassy of Nepal and the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman have signed an agreement to lease a plot of land in the diplomatic area to build a chancery and residence for the head of the mission.

H E Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the sultanate, and H E Mohamed bin Nasser bin Mohamed al Wahaibi, Undersecretary for Administration and Finance in the Foreign Ministry of Oman, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments on Tuesday.

As per the agreement, the Nepalese Embassy is allotted a plot of land measuring 4,100sqm in the diplomatic area for the aforementioned purpose.

After the signing ceremony, the officials congratulated each other on achieving a milestone in the diplomatic relation between the two countries. 

Additionally, they discussed the prospect of exploring further relations between the two countries in trade, tourism and bilateral investment besides labour issues.

As per a decision of the Government of Nepal, the embassy is planning to begin construction works soon.
