Oman will not be affected by the direct impact of the depression located in the Arabian Sea, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has said. However, sea will be rough and chances of scattered rains are still there over some parts of Oman.
PACA stated, ‘Latest weather analysis of the National Multi hazard and Early Warning Centre indicates that the expected direct effects from the weather system located north of Arabian Sea, off the coast of Pakistan, is over.’
‘However, there are still chances of isolated rains and sea state along the coastal areas of Oman Sea will be moderate with maximum wave height of 2 metres, while sea is expected to be rough along the Arabian Sea with maximum wave height of 4 metres.’
The Public Authority for Civil Aviation appreciated all the efforts made by the National Committee for Emergency Management and all other sectors in response to the alert.
