Eid al Adha holiday for public, private sectors announced

H E Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council issued a decision reading as follows:

“On the occasion of the blessed Eid al Adha 1441 AH, the Eid holiday for employees at the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the State’s Administrative Apparatus will be from Thursday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH, corresponding to July 30, 2020 till Monday, 13 Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH, corresponding to August 3, 2020. Work will resume on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.”

The Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court extended his congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on this occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come, the Omani people and the country further progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s wise leadership.

H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower issued a ministerial decision stating that Eid Al Adha holiday at the private sector companies and establishments will be from Thursday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH, corresponding to July 30, 2020 till Monday, 13 Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH, corresponding to August 3, 2020.

The decision allows employers and employees to agree on work arrangements to compensate this holiday, if necessity arises.
