H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health, on Thursday said that lack of compliance with health procedures and social distancing is the cause of recent increase in the number of COVID-19 cases .  

“Health institutions in Oman may reach a stage where they cannot absorb more cases that require treatment if citizen and residents continue to ignore social distancing and health guidelines,” he said. 

“Lack of compliance with health procedures and social distancing is the cause of an increase in the number of cases recently. The responsibility relies on the society. People are requested to abide with precautionary measures,” he added. 
He urged everyone in the country to abide with precautionary measures to stop the spread of the virus.
