Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Wednesday presided over the meeting of the Supreme Committee for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sayyid Fahd thanked the committee for its continuous efforts to reduce the adverse impacts of the pandemic and its consequences on the health and economic sectors, as well as socially.
He also commended the efforts made by all sectors in the country, especially the Sultan’s Armed Forces, the Royal Oman Police and the security services, as well as the entities in the public and private sectors and the humanitarian role that the health sector played by taking care of families and residents.
Sayyid Fahd added that the media has played a considerable and prominent role in this regard, and that the unified efforts have contributed towards achieving positive results and limiting the risks that occurred in some other countries.
He appreciated the community’s positive role in cooperating with the decisions of the Supreme Committee which has significantly limited the impact of the pandemic. He also called on Almighty Allah to safeguard the country and its leadership from all harm and to bring prosperity and peace to all.
