Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested an Asian national for spreading rumors on social media.  

ROP said that the General Department of Criminal Investigations arrested an Asian national who posted an old video on a social media site showing that Oman allowed gatherings for different communities in closed spaces. 

ROP confirmed that legal procedures had been completed against him. ‘ROP confirms that the violator was referred to the judicial authorities to take the legal action against him,’ ROP statement said. ROP calls for adherence to the laws and not to spread rumours.
