Expatriates with insurance coverage, sponsor to be charged for COVID-19 treatment

Expatriates who have insurance cover and those with sponsors will be charged for COVID-19 treatment according to the law. 

H E Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health, said that free treatment for expatriates is for those who do not have the ability to do so. 

“Free treatment for expatriates is for those who do not have the ability to do so or those without the sponsor to take care of them,” he said.
