The Ministry of Health (MoH) has called on people to maintain social distancing as many cases of negligence have come to the fore.
In a press conference, H E Dr Ahmed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health, called for maintaining social distancing as some people were not doing so.
“It is sad to note that some people are not practicing social distancing in Ramadan by attending social gatherings. Many cases reported today are from gatherings,” he said.
“We have noticed that some people are not committed to measures of social distancing despite the spread of the virus. The virus is still spreading widely, and it is imperative to adhere fully to the measures of social distancing and not to endanger the lives of others.”
As per the indication, the virus will continue for a long time throughout the world and there is a need to be more careful. However, he said that life has to go on to avoid further damage to the economy. “We are studying to further open up more businesses to avoid financial impact but by following all precautionary measures,” H E Dr Sa’eedi said.
