The lockdown of Wilayat Muttrah may come to an end on May 29, Minister of Health has said.
During a press conference on Thursday, H E Dr Ahmed al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health, said, “It is hoped that the lockdown of Muttrah will end on May 29. The situation will be reviewed in light of the developments.”
The minister added that there is a noticeable decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases within the isolated region in Muttrah. Many residents who did not have proper living conditions for domestic quarantine were transferred to institutional quarantine facilities, he said.
H E Dr Sa’eedi said that the ministry has conducted about 50,000 test for COVID-19 in the Sultanate. “The recent increase in the cases is due to the active epidemiological investigation carried out by the ministry”
