Oman’s embassy in Cairo has announced that it will operate a special flight to fly home Omani citizens from Egypt via Terminal 1 of Cairo International Airport.
‘The Air Cairo flight will take off at 12 noon and check-in will start on 9am on Thursday May 7,’ the embassy said in a statement.
With the support of its diplomatic missions abroad, Oman had repatriated around 4000 Omanis back home till the end of April. According to official statistics, 700 citizens came from the US and Canada, while the rest came from London (67), Morroco (130), Holland (32), Turkey (75), Tunisia (17), Cyprus (19), Jordan (456), Iran (750), Kuwait and Bahrain (total 62), Egypt (71), Saudi Arabia (166), India (111), Thailand (40), Pakistan (147), Tanzania (137), Australia (611), New Zealand (210) and 126 others who came back from different countries since the beginning of the crisis.
