Today’s recipe: Chicken Pidi

Ingredients

1 cup rice flour

2 cup water

1tsp garam masala

5 shallots – sliced

1 onion sliced

3 inch ginger piece

3 garlic cloves

3 green chillies

1/2tsp turmeric

1tsp Kashmiri chilli powder

2tsp coriander powder

Half cup coconut milk

500g chicken (cut into small pieces)

3 sprigs curry leaves

Salt, to taste

Method

Boil 2 cups of water and add the shallots, 1/4 garam masala, salt and rice flour. Mix well and turn off the stove. Make small balls using the dough and cook in a steamer for 3 minutes. Crush ginger, garlic, curry leaves and green chilli. Apply this paste, turmeric, garam masala, Kashmiri chilli powder on chicken. Cook chicken in a pressure cooker with half cup of water, onions, and turn off the stove after the first whistle. Then add coconut milk and rice balls to cooked chicken and boil. It’s ready to serve.
