The Ministry of Finance has issued a circular to speed up Omanisation in the government sector by replacing expatriate workforce with Omanis.
In a circular (No. 14) addressed to all government companies, regarding the Omanisation policy, the ministry stressed the need for urgent compliance. ‘All government companies need to accelerate the replacement of expatriates by Omanis according to a specific timetable for different levels of jobs,’ it said.
This is to be implemented as quickly as possible, including the leadership and supervisory positions, the ministry said.
The circular comes within the framework of the keenness of the government in preparing and preparing the national workforce and developing their capabilities to contribute effectively to the comprehensive development process in various sectors.
The ministry stated that government companies provide an attractive environment to accommodate qualified Omanis looking for work. This advances their role in implementing the government’s policy aimed at finding employment opportunities for Omanis and building national capabilities.
