Mwasalat has announced that it transported 2,873 people from Muscat International Airport to the institutional quarantine facilities during the period March 23 to April 24.
The national transport company added that it also transported 1,065 people form institutional quarantine facilities to various governorates of the Sultanate during the period April 4 to April 25.
Meanwhile, Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development and the head of the relief and sheltering sector, said that the number of people who have been quarantined in Oman is over 6,000. “We have used more than 3,500 hotel rooms to isolate people. We provided psychological support to more than 1,700 people in institutional and home quarantine.”
“Great effort is made to help low-income families, social security families and migrant workers affected by the corona virus outbreak,” added Maawali.
