73 per cent COVID-19 cases in Muscat

The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Oman neared 2,000 on Sunday after the registration of another 93 ones. Of the 93 cases registered, 33 are Omani nationals and 60 non-Omanis. 

The Ministry of Health said that 1,998 cases have been registered till date.  Altogether 333 patients  have recovered while ten have died.

Muscat governorate tops the list with 1,449 cases, followed by South Batinah (197) and South Sharqiyah (102) governorates.

 

 

Work resumes at Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice on Sunday resumed work in all departments of the public notary in the sultanate during official hours.

Basic commodities available in Muttrah

The Director General of Commerce in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry met with merchants and owners of shops in Muttrah. ‘This is to ensure the availability of basic foodstuff in the wilayat,’ the ministry stated.

PACP bans sanitisers 

The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) has banned five new types of sanitiser/gel in Oman. It has withdrawn Lucky Fair, Jawaher, Areej Hand Gel Anti-Bacterial 60ml, Hibiclens Hand Sanitiser Gel 50ml and Genfex Hand Sanitiser Gel (50-250ml) from the market.
