364 COVID-19 patients in Oman recover, says MoH

The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Monday announced recovery of 31 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients taking the total to 364.

It also announced registration of another 51 COVID-19 cases (37 Omani nationals and 14 non-Omanis). Since the registration of first two patients on February 24, the total cases in Oman have touched 2,049. Ten patients have died till date.

The Government Communication Centre (GCC) has said that 797 people are in institutional isolation at 27 shelter and relief centres. GCC said that eights centres  have 64 people for suspected cases, nine centres have 359 uninfected people while ten centres have infected people.

Compensation for travel

The Ministry of Higher Education has said that those students who have not been able to apply for compensation for the ticket can enter details on till 2pm on May 3.

Al Maha Ceramics donates RO10,000

Al Maha Ceramics has donated RO10,000 to the fund created by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to fight the pandemic in Oman.
