Muscat tops COVID-19 cases; South Batinah second

The Ministry of Health registered 115 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Saturday. This brings the total number to 1,905, including ten deaths. 

Of the new cases, 48 are Omanis and 67 non-Omanis. The number of recoveries has touched 329.

Muscat governorate tops the list with 1,395 cases, followed by South Batinah (174) and South Sharqiyah (99) governorates.

 

 

Campaign to protect workers

Muscat Municipality is conducting a campaign in Bausher to check the body temperature of workers in food-preparing establishments for signs of fever as a precaution to control the spread of COVID-19.

 

Transactions in the real estate sector to resume today

The Ministry of Housing has said that it will resume real estate transactions in various governorates from Sunday, April 26. The ministry has urged people to register via the link: eservices.housing.gov.om 

 

10,000 Sudanese sheep arrives

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has said that a consignment of 10,000 Sudanese sheep has arrived at Port Sultan Qaboos. ‘The veterinary procedures are being completed to ensure that they are free from any pathogen before their release,’ the ministry stated.
