Few healthcare workers infected with COVID-19: Dr Sa’eedi

Healthcare workers on the frontline continue to be at risk of COVID-19 infection with the Ministry of Health announcing that some of its workers were infected with the disease. 

“Some workers in the health sector were infected with the virus but most of them have recovered,” said H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health.

In an interview with OmanTV, Minister of Health, said, “His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik follows the efforts of health sector workers and fully supports them.”

He added, “I always visit health sector workers periodically. I hope that it will contribute in conveying positive message. We strive to reduce the damage caused by the epidemic and its impact on life.”

The Public Prosecution contributed greatly to the spread of rumors and the media played an important role in raising awareness, denying rumors and spreading positive messages among society, Dr Sa’eedi said. 

“I am satisfied with what has been achieved so far. The decisions of the Supreme Committee for dealing COVID-19 have helped in limiting the spread of the coronavirus.”
