25 Apr 2020

The authority for pharmaceutical and drug Control in Oman has banned the sale of vinyl gloves made by a Chinese company and ordered its withdrawal from the market.

The Directorate General of Pharmaceutical Affairs and Drug Control (DGPADC) issued a circular to withdraw all batches of vinyl gloves manufactured by the Chinese company Lotus. ‘The product has a number of impurities, which may adversely affect the user. It is not fit for use.’

DGPADC urged everyone to immediately stop using this product and report any adverse effects suspected to be associated with the use of the product.
